About Vacuum Therapy

Vacuum Therapy was introduced and accepted as an ethical treatment for ED in the early 1980's. Since then, there have been many anecdotal reports describing its therapeutic use for the treatment of Peyronie's Disease. Used therapeutically, the technique involves a regimen of pressure and cylinder size. Negative pressure is applied at varying amounts to increase penile blood flow. This increased blood flow results in a "stretch" of the Peyronie's scar tissue, thereby correcting the pain and curvature associated with the Disease. Assuming a patient continues the recommended six-month therapeutic regimen, the technique has resulted in a significant improvement or elimination of the penile curve and plaque buildup synonymous with Peyronie's Disease.
